How to use a Kettlebell

Tell me more about Kettlebells

The kettlebell is a cast iron weight that looks a bit like a cannonball with a handle; it is an ancient training system and was used by Russian athletes and the military elite. What makes the kettlebell so different from traditional weights is the offset center of gravity; this makes the weight almost come alive in your hand?

Kettlebell training is different from conventional weight training because it works the whole body as a unit and not just a singular muscle group such as the arms, legs or back.  This type of training is very demanding as you will be using over 600 muscles not just a few.  The consequences of this are that you work incredibly hard and can get an effective work out in just 20 minutes as opposed to regular drawn out exercise.

Kettlebell training is all about movement. It asks the body to work as one unit as effectively as possible demanding a strong mind-muscle connection. Dynamic and functional, this form of training requires several muscle groups and energy systems to work simultaneously; this is what makes it so effective.?

There are great benefits to using a Kettlebell. Not only will it set your fat on fire better than any other form of training, it can strengthen and lengthen your muscles without bulking you up or pack on size and strength depending on what you want and how you use it. It will strengthen tendons and ligaments, improve posture and reduce your risk of injury making you incredibly resilient.
